Natural Perspective

This image really had to be the first on this post, this image was inspired by the photographer Alfred Steigltiz and his image of the cloud covering the sunlight over the horizon. This image has a similar feel to it, it incorporates a use of dark covering cloud as the sunlight shines over the horizon. This packs a powerful punch with a dramatic burst of a gold colour that spread all through the sky. Also, the beams of light that is breaking thorough the black clouds creates this wonderful soft glow through the left half of the image. This image is all round showing the beauy caused by the mix of sun, lighting and clouds.

I took this photo to capture the wonderful mix of branches that interwind within each other, with different textures, sizes, and tones, they create a hugely confusing maze of nature. A enhancing of the colours saturation and it brings out the wonderfully different tones of green that cover the picture. It is hard to distinguish the foreground and the background which is what causes this confusing mix of trees.

This image was taken whilst out on landscape shoot, reenacting Raymond Depardons style as part of a college project. I stumbled across this patch of rotting apples on the floor and was instantly amazed by the colour of the fallen apples against the consistently dark brown tone. This came with a brilliant mix of dead and dry stalks laid across the ground. I a few adjustments to the brightness, contrast, exposure and levels allowed me to create this colour concentrated image.

This image was taken to capture the surrealistic landscape that we see here. I chose to change the image to black & white as it exaggerates the surreal effect, through the use of minimal tones and textures. The tree remains completely in the middle as it hold upon it this wonderful half dead, half living look to it. This foreground holds a magnificent use of white stripes that diagonally cut it's way through the image, the lines also create this wonderful illusion, making this bottom of the image look as though it is slanted.

Who Am I

Born 18th June 1995 Currently living in the small town of Newport, just far away enough for it to be known by anyone. Currently studying at New College Telford, a growing interest for photography and everything to do with it has driven me to decide that i will study a photography course at degree level. I have always loved photography and always had an eye for it. Capturing a specific moment or event in a way that open up someones mind to a different perspective of reality is key to the narrative of my photography. Anything that can be captured with thought behind it has the ability to amaze someone.
